Jillian’s research examines the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying how individuals engage with and respond to socially and emotionally meaningful information. She is particularly interested in understanding individual differences in engagement and emotion regulation, and how these processes shape responses to naturalistic and digital content. Her work uses multimodal approaches, including neuroimaging, eye tracking, behavioral measures, and self-report, with the broader goal of translating insights from cognitive neuroscience into more engaging, accessible, and effective interventions and educational tools.
