Kevin Melecio

School Psychology


Kevin is a third-year Ph.D. student in the School Psychology program at the Neag School of Education, where he works under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Jaqueline Caemmerer. He holds an M.A. in  Educational Psychology from the University of Connecticut and an M.Ed. in Educational Research and Measurement from the University of Puerto Rico. His research interests include psychological assessment, multicultural psychology, and language development, with a focus on how these areas intersect in the delivery of services to autistic students and families from diverse backgrounds.
Outside of academics, Kevin is an amateur birder and can often be found exploring new trails and wildlife sanctuaries on the weekends.
